About

Conceptual thinker.

Total goofball.

Let’s do this.

A proud graduate of California State University, Fresno, I published my first haiku in elementary school and later published poetry as a grown up. Most of my professional career has been spent as an advertising copywriter, writing content for print, radio, TV, and digital advertising mediums—which won me a few industry awards along the way.

After blazing writing paths through Silicon Valley, the Central Valley, various-sized ad agencies up and down California, and several nonprofit community service organizations, I found my groove as the Content Development Manager for a Central California custom software (SaaS) firm that was focused on building a technology workforce from underestimated and disenfranchised community groups. I spent the last few years overseeing a team of copywriters and content specialists writing our internal collateral, sales enablement pieces, human narrative stories, blog posts, newsletters and scripts. Eight months prior to the end of my last role, I was elevated to VP of creative services (which served mostly as an associate creative director role), overseeing the day-to-day production of a multi-department creative team that included design, media production, content, and traffic.

My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to think conceptually. Because every idea should have legs to build an ongoing campaign that can go the distance with your target audience in the medium of your choosing. Every piece produced is an opportunity to solidify your brand.

At any given time, you can find me injecting snarky comments into most of my conversations. (I was voted class clown in high school; shocking, I know.) In between the snark, I find time to volunteer for organizations such as Out in Tech, the Prism Foundation, Human Rights Campaign, Fresno Justice Coalition, and San Francisco Pride. I’ve also sat on various governing boards for Rotary International (District 5230), ValleyPBS and currently, the Prism Foundation.

I also collect flat caps and eye wear. Because I wouldn’t be an eclectic creative without accessories.
